Tony Greig is a cricketing legend, sports broadcaster and
company executive who is one of the best keynote speakers and
MCs that Australia has to offer.
Tony was born in South Africa in 1946, was first capped for
England against the rest of the world in 1970. He followed on
and played 58 consecutive tests for England from 1972-1977 and
captained England from 1975 to 1977.
Tony is one of the select band of test all-rounders to have
scored over 3000 runs and taken over 100 wickets (3599 runs at
an average of 40.03, 141 wickets and 87 catches).
Tony played a leading role in the formation of Kerry Packer’s
World Series Cricket in 1977 during which he captained the
World XI
Currently residing in Sydney, Tony is a nine network executive
and a leading commentator on the network’s cricket commentary
team.
Tony has written several books, such “Greig on Cricket”, “The
Men and the Game” and “My Story” and is now a naturalised
Australian and a keen golfer.
